You’ve seen him as Sgt. Frank Perconte in the highly acclaimed HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, on the big screen with Leonardo DiCaprio as the drug-addicted Pedro in the coming of age drama The Basketball Diaries, and as the Lost Boy Don’t Ask in Steven Spielberg’s Hook. His name is James Madio and he is a working actor.

With a career that spans 20 years and includes 22 feature films and numerous guest starring roles on television, the 35 year-old Madio takes on one of his most challenging assignments… the historical figure of famed Italian immigrant Nicola Sacco. James’s rare mixture of quiet strength and an acute sense of who he is made him the perfect choice to play Sacco, who finds his purpose in No God, No Master when he is introduced to fellow Italian Bartolomeo Vanzetti. The two become forever linked together as Sacco & Vanzetti and their tragedy is highlighted in the movie.

“James is an actor who knows how to get to the point of a scene,” said director Terry Green. “You don’t have to dance around the truth with him because he brings everything to the table in his performance.” Born in The Bronx, New York in 1975, James is one of seven children. Fluent in Italian, he made the most of his opportunity on No God, No Master and we are extremely fortunate to have him in our film.
